THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Tom Burke has been named vice president of sales at Tomlinson, a new position at the high-end upholstery source.
He will work with all four of the company's divisions - Tomlinson, Erwin-Lambeth, Directional and Carter.
The sales force will report to Burke and he will work with the company's current customers as well as developing new accounts. He will also serve as an advisor to Rod Lambeth, CEO of Tomlinson.
Burke most recently was vice president of upholstery sales at Theodore Alexander and helped develop that company's upholstery line. Previously, he was vice president of sales for TRS Furniture and Textiles for more than 20 years.
"We are fortunate to have someone of Tom's knowledge and experience join us," Lambeth said. "He not only knows all facets of the high-end market and what customers want in upholstery, he has high standards and exemplary ethics. He fits in well with our corporate culture."
"Tomlinson has what I was looking for in a high-end upholstery company," Burke said. "The quality is superb, the styling exceptional and they have a stable of designers such as Barry Dixon and Michael Wolk who design relevant and exciting pieces. I'm excited about getting out and talking to customers."
