Therapedic teams with Polyron in Israel

Gerry BorreggineGerry Borreggine, center, welcomes Polyron Marketing Manager Roberto Zilber, left, and Polyron CEO Dan Marcipar to the Therapedic group.
PRINCETON, N.J. - Top 10 bedding producer Therapedic International has launched a partnership with Polyron, a foam mattress manufacturer in Israel. The company will begin producing and selling mattresses and box springs under the Therapedic brand in January.
Polyron is a well-known Israeli brand that services a network of more than 100 independent dealers in the country from its base outside of Ashkelon, in the southern coastal region of Israel. The company is building a new production center that will be operational in January, when production of the new Therapedic mattresses will begin, officials said.
"Israelis have always held U.S. brands in high regard, so we see a tremendous opportunity for our company in the market," said Therapedic President and CEO Gerry Borreggine. "Polyron is a great partner for us because they are very similar in their product and customer base to many of our licensees around the world."
Polyron CEO Dan Marcipar said his company chose to partner with Therapedic because of its innovation, merchandising and corporate culture.
"My management team was very impressed with the innovation, design and construction of Therapedic's products, and the marketing/merchandising support they give the brand," said Marcipar. "We very much wanted to broaden our product mix and introduce a U.S. brand to our customers. We could not have found a better partner than Therapedic." Polyron has 80 employees.
Therapedic currently has licensees on six continents in countries including Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Trinidad, Jamaica, Colombia, Ireland, India, Korea, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, New Zealand, Turkey, Australia and China.
