Northwest Furniture Xpress moves, expands regional hub

New facility near Port of Tacoma

MORGANTON, N.C. — Northwest Furniture Xpress, a specialized furniture carrier that services the northwestern U.S. and western Canada, has relocated its Northwest distribution hub to a 40,000-square-foot facility in Fife, Wash.

The new facility is more than double the size of the carrier's former hub in nearby Puyallup, Wash.

"The new facility is located adjacent to the Port of Tacoma, which will provide an added benefit to our constantly expanding container breakout program and 3PL operations," said Eric Clarke, president and CEO.

He said the company's business has increased by 40% in the past year.

"With the economy showing some positive signs, we wanted to be positioned to continue to accommodate the growth pattern we are experiencing as we move into the future," said Clarke. "This move is part of our ongoing commitment to the dealers in our service area."
