NORWALK, Ohio — Upholstery producer Norwalk Custom Order Furniture has introduced new products that commemorate The Ohio State University.
The line, named the Buckeye Tartan Collection, includes chairs, power recliners, multifunctional ottomans and pillows embroidered with "Go Bucks" and "Carmen Ohio." It's the result of Norwalk's partnership with OSU and three companies.
The partners are Alma Mater Design, which designs fabrics for universities; LinDale "M"broidery, which embroiders the pillows and leather pieces in the collection; and Conneaut Leather, which supplies the leather used in the collection's pieces.
"This collection gives consumers the feeling of a high-end product complemented with richly detailed patterns and a refined attitude," said Reyna Moore, Norwalk's vice president of marketing and merchandising.
The Buckeye Tartan Collection can be bought at several Ohio retailers.
If the Buckeye Tartan Collection proves successful, it could be "duplicated and offered to other universities," Moore said.
