ASEAN Announces show dates

Jakarta, Indonesia - The ASEAN Furniture Inds. Council has announced the dates of six furniture shows in Southeast Asia as part of a strategy to better promote the region's trade show circuit.
    The shows include the ExportFurniture Exhibition Malaysia,which runs March 5-8 in KualaLumpur; the Vietnam InternationalFurniture & Home AccessoriesFair, which runs from March11-14 in Ho Chi Minh City; theThailand International FurnitureFair, which runs March 12-16 inBangkok; the International FairSingapore, which runs March 13-16; the International Furniture &Craft Fair Indonesia, which runsMarch 14-17 in Jakarta and thePhilippine International FurnitureShow, which runs March 14-17 inManila.
     The AFIC was formed in 1978as a regional trade organizationthat promotes the interests of theASEAN furniture industry. Accordingto its website, it includes membersthat represent the furnituresectors of each ASEAN countryand that are certified by their respectiveindustries and Chamber ofCommerce.
     For 2014, the group is takinga more active role by marketingthe show circuit under the theme"Great ASEAN Design Starts Here- Six cities. Two weeks. One destinationfor design."
