"Four years after the economists said the recession ended, the home furnishings sector is finally participating," said Jerry in his opening remarks.
"Housing has lead every economic recovery since WWII, except for the latest, and housing only began to show real life in mid-year 2012 (meaning owner occupied homes, not foreclosures) and that is driving better business today and should through 2014 and 2015. Employment, incomes, confidence and buying power has been slowly but steadily growing, allowing the American consumer to once again look to the home. All this is good news, but the home furnishings sector has been in a recession mentality for so long, can we recognize it and participate in a better economy?"
