Powell debuts Bombay collection at Las Vegas Market
January 27, 2014-- Furniture Today,
Powell is adding 10 rug styles to The Bombay Company Tapes Collection. The rugs are on display for the first time in Las Vegas.
The name of the collection is from the French word for Tapestry. With flat-weave rugs becoming more popular, the design team for The Bombay Company created intricate transitional designs using space-dyed chenille yarns, officials said.
"I am thrilled that this designer-coordinated collection is coming to market. It makes decorating easy and gives any room an instant update," said Wil Hollands, president of Hermes Otto International, owner of The Bombay Company brand.
All rugs, pillows and poufs will be in stock by mid-March.
Woven by hand in India, a 5 by 7 rug retails for $249. The decorative 21- by 21-inch pillows are made with the same chenille fabric with a suede fabric backing, retailing for $40, and the pouf is 21 by 21 by 21 inches, stuffed with beans and a cushion top, retailing for $80.
Powell shows in World Market Center A-753.
