Eric Hinshaw named president of Carolina Mattress Guild

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Carolina Mattress Guild announced that Eric Hinshaw, who was heading the company's high-end bedding division, has been named president of the company. He will oversee operations, officials said.
Company founder Neal Grigg, formerly president of Carolina Mattress Guild, will assume the role of CEO. Kathy Grigg, Neal's wife, will remain vice president.
Hinshaw most recently held the title of president of Scott & DuVal, the new luxury division of Carolina Mattress Guild that was developed last year.
"Eric's leadership and experience has been a true asset to our company, and we are excited to have him lead us as president," said Neal Grigg. "We have a unique opportunity for exceptional growth over the next several years, and Eric's expertise will undoubtedly help us achieve our goals."
Before joining Carolina Mattress Guild in 2013, Hinshaw was CEO of bedding manufacturer Kingsdown for 32 years.
Founded in 1991, Carolina Mattress Guild is a family-owned mattress manufacturer based in Thomasville.
