"‘A Pathway to Profit' ismore than a management book,"Hipple said. "It's a primer givinga behind-the-scenes pictureof developing a culture linkingpeople and profit. The Pathwaydescribes a recommended architectureon which to build an organization'sculture and presentsa plan for developing leaders toensure associate participation andachieving results."
The authors say the bookdescribes the culture of caring, which connects developing andempowering people to creatingprofits.
"This is the stuff that reallymoves the meter," Hipple said."When you think about it, this isone of the last frontiers for gaininga competitive edge. Price is nolonger a competitive edge, nor isgreat style, because so many peoplecan do it. It's the people, theteam and the feeling of inclusivenessand empowerment - thegray areas - that attract betterand better people, and therein liesthe opportunity to gain a competitiveedge."
