Classic Concepts hires 2 in executive posts

Marci Jones named COO, John Moody SVP of sales

LAS VEGAS MARKET - Case goods, bedding and rugs manufacturer Classic Concepts has hired Marci Jones as its chief operating officer, a new position, and John Moody as senior vice president of sales.

Jones most recently was with high-end hospitality and custom furniture manufacturer Beverly Furniture, where she was vice president of operations. Earlier, she was executive vice president at contract and residential case goods resource Boyd Furniture.

At Los Angeles-based Classic Concepts, she reports to Harpal Singh, CEO.

"We are very excited to welcome Marci to the team," Singh said in a statement. "Given our current growth in our divisions, Classic Home and Villa Home Collection, and our outlook for the next five years, I'm very confident of the important role Marci will play as we manage and focus our operations."

Moody most recently was vice president of sales at Lane Home Furnishings. He will report to Jones and will work alongside Bill Carpenter, who also is a senior vice president of sales.

Singh said Moody "has extensive experience in the industry and will have a positive impact on our business growth."

Classic Concepts produces and distributes reclaimed and eco-friendly solid wood furniture, decorative pillows, bedding and natural fiber rugs through its Classic Home, Classic Home Rugs and Villa Home Collection lines.

At this week's Las Vegas Market, the company is showing in World Market Center C-309, C-452 and C-352.
