Next Generation Now events planned for Las Vegas

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The North American Home Furnishings Assn. will host three Next Generation Now events at the Las Vegas Market on Monday, Jan. 27.

In a market seminar from 9-10 a.m., a panel of young retail experts will discuss how they use social media, blogging, and mobile to attract the next generation of shoppers. The event, moderated by MicroD, will be in the NAHFA Retailer Resource Center seminar room, World Market Center B-1050.

NAHFA also will host a Lunch with Leaders event from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Next Gen Now members will be able to share a working lunch with seasoned professionals in market showrooms, during which they'll learn best practices, expand their knowledge of the industry or a segment of it, and make connections.

The lunches will be with Kerry Lebensburger, president of sales, Ashley; Bob Maricich, CEO, International Market Centers; Jeff Child, president, R.C. Willey, Salt Lake City; and Lorri Kelley, vice president of sales, Palliser. Members can choose who to dine with and reserve their spot at ngnow.org or by emailing Cindi Williams, cwilliams@nahfa.org.

Members can finish out their day at the NGN Bash at 5 p.m. in the One-Six Club on the 16th floor of Building B. The event, sponsored by Coaster Fine Furniture, will include music with a live DJ.

"NAHFA has a strong commitment to the next generation of industry professionals," said Sharron Bradley, NAHFA's CEO. "These three events on Monday offer myriad opportunities for Next Gen Now members to not only expand their knowledge and understanding of the industry, but to interact and build relationships with well-respected industry leaders and their peers."
