Lifestyle Enterprise sets Las Vegas Forbidden City show for Jan. 23-24

LAS VEGAS - Lifestyle Enterprise is holding its next Forbidden City Furniture Show on Jan. 23-24 at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
This marks the third time Lifestyle has hosted the event in Las Vegas, said James Riddle, global chairman of the promotional to lower-middle-priced case goods and upholstery resource.
The show dates are strategically scheduled right before the Las Vegas Market, which runs Jan. 26-30.
The Lifestyle show is set for a Thursday and Friday, while the Vegas market opens on Sunday for the first time.
Riddle said he expects several hundred dealers to come to this year's Forbidden City event.
"I'm sure everyone who attended the past couple of shows will be there this time," Riddle said, noting that it will feature new product in all categories in the company's line, including bedroom, dining room, upholstery and youth bedroom. These products are expected to occupy a 15,000-square-foot space at the Riviera.
Riddle said that the company will fly in some of its Top 100 accounts, but said several Top 100s are flying in on their own.
"They gladly come and pay their own fare and come in early to see Lifestyle," he said.
In addition to its values in case goods and upholstery, the company also attracts crowds with its lavish gifts to retailers. In the past, these gifts have included the iPad and the iPod.
