IMM Cologne to feature new segments

Cologne, Germany - The 2014 edition of IMM Cologne this month will feature a host of new segments and features that aim to highlight some of the most innovative trends in home furnishings fashion and design.
Among the new segments at the Jan. 13-19 show is Pure-One Design Injection, which celebrates the talents of young designers coming out of colleges and universities.
"Here visitors can experience idea labs that have a concrete influence on the furniture industry," show organizers said in a statement.
The show also will feature the Das Haus - Interiors on Stage concept, a walk-in simulation of a house that illustrates both architectural and interior design elements. It will be hosted in collaboration with Danish furniture and lighting designer Louise Campbell. A designer with "an English instinct for interior design, (Campbell) is undoubtedly one of the leading protagonists who are evolving the grand tradition of Scandinavian Modernism not only with respect but with newfound self-confidence as well," show organizers said.
The show is also expanding other hall areas such as the Sleep segment in Hall 10, where a "new creative concept will enhance the displays to appeal to new international target audiences."
The 2014 edition of IMM Cologne is expected to feature 1,100 companies from 50 countries. For more information on the event, or to register, visit
