Hooker Furniture promotes Anne Jacobsen to SVP

Adds responsibilities for contract division

MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Case goods and upholstery resource Hooker Furniture has promoted Anne Jacobsen to senior vice president of administration, a new position.

Jacobsen, who has 20 years of experience in human resources management, joined the company six years ago as director of human resources. She was most recently vice president of administration and human resources.

With the promotion, she is adding responsibilities for the company's contact furniture division, H Contract. Reporting to Hooker CEO Paul Toms, she also will continue her current responsibilities of overseeing human resources, customer service and information technology.

Toms said in a statement that Jacobsen "has done an outstanding job, contributing on many levels while working across all three companies - Hooker, Bradington-Young and Sam Moore, and more recently with our new business startups."
