Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 20, 2014
High Point - Case goods and upholstery manufacturer and importer Coe Ltd. has named Tom Goff president of the company for North America.
Goff, who has been the company's vice president of sales and marketing since 2013, fills a position that was similar to the one held until recently by Peter Helgeson, who was named president of Coe USA Inc. in October.
Helgeson did not offer details about his departure other than to confirm that he has left the company.
Goff has been in the furniture industry more than 22 years. For most of his career, he worked at a co-merchandise manager and regional sales manager with Pembrook Chair. He also was a merchandise manager and national sales manager for Caye Home Furnishings.
Goff reports to Larry Chan, chief operating officer, and Charles Leung, CEO.
"Tom's business savvy, product knowledge, and hands-on approach is the right fit for our company at this time," Chan said in a statement. "With 25 years' experience in sales, sales management, merchandising and operations, we are confident that our sales and product mix will continue to grow and improve not only this year, but in the years to come."
