Hudson's Furniture to open big complex in Bradenton, Fla.

110,000-square-foot mall space is former Dillard's

BRADENTON, Fla. — Hudson's Furniture will open a 110,000-square-foot Furniture and Home Furnishing Retail Center on April 1 at DeSoto Square Mall here.

The Sanford, Fla.-based Top 100 company is opening in a former Dillard's department store space, according to a local report. The showroom will be Hudson's 17th and largest store, President Josh Hudson told Furniture/Today.

"We are very excited to bring Hudson's Furniture to Bradenton," he said in a release. "It has been our long-term strategic plan to bring our unique blend of name brand furniture combined with our exceptional and friendly customer and service to this market."

The retailer did not disclose its investment or projected sales in the new market.

Suppliers and brands will include Natuzzi, Stanley, Flexsteel, Lane, Broyhill, Bassett, Thomasville, Lexington Home Brands and Serta, Simmons and Tempur-Pedic in bedding.
