IDP Italia to make High Point Market debut

HIGH POINT — IDP Italia, a producer of upper-end leather upholstery, will make its U.S. market debut at the April 5-10 High Point Market.

The Italian company also plans to open its showroom, space D-702 in the International Home Furnishings Center, for premarket on March 3-4.

The company's Italian-made, hand-crafted products feature top-grain leather covers and blend classic lines with modern design, said Paul Tamshinsky, marketing director of Sets Group, the U.S. importer for the IDP line.

"The products are made entirely in Italy only with Italian components," said Tamshinsky.

The High Point showroom will feature eight stationary and motion seating groups that are part of the company's quick-ship program. Sofa retail price points are $4,500 to $7,000. The groups include sofas, sectionals and armchairs.

Tamshinsky said the groups will be stocked in the company's Rahway, N.J., warehouse and will be available in several colors.
