LAS VEGAS — Top 10 bedding producer Englander, one of the mattress industry's oldest brands, celebrated a big anniversary here and presented awards to key licensees for their marketing, sales performance and manufacturing excellence in 2013.
Englander CEO and President Kevin Toman cut a cake that marked the company's 120th anniversary, one that was celebrated with special models that were well received at market, company officials said.
Toman also honored two licensees for their accomplishments last year. The awards went to
Englander Southeast, based in Rome, Ga., for the largest sales increase, and to Englander Midwest in Chicago for manufacturing excellence.
The awards were accepted by Dominic Azevedo, CEO and president of Englander Southeast, and Ed Ciolkosz, owner and president of Englander Midwest.
"We're very proud of both of these operations and the teams of people at each location for what they achieved last year in their respective areas," Toman said. "It was also especially meaningful to recognize these factories while celebrating our company's 120th anniversary, marking one of the longest successful tenures in the bedding industry."
Founded in 1894, Englander introduced in Las Vegas special Anniversary Edition models under several of its popular mattress brands and showed a video that traced the company's development.
