Powell shifting customer care center to North Carolina
February 11, 2014-- Furniture Today,
CULVER CITY, Calif. — L. Powell Acquisitions Corp. said Monday that it is relocating its customer care center to Greensboro, N.C.
Powell CEO Jim Ziozis said the company has an existing facility in Greensboro that can house more than 1.5 million square feet of product with 10,000 square feet of office space that will be renovated. The center is relocating from Culver City, Calif.
"The economic, cultural, professional and quality-of-life aspects provided by the greater Greensboro area and the state of North Carolina are a good fit for Powell's growth plan and stood out favorably among the choices considered," Ziozis said.
He said Greensboro's proximity to High Point, as well as its location along the Eastern Seaboard, played a role in its selection as well.
"Greensboro's central location also facilitates more efficient and effective interaction with our national sales force as well as being in the heart of the furniture industry in the U.S," Ziozis said. "We look ahead to a strong 2014 as we position our company for continued success."
The move is expected to be completed in April, and once operational, it will create 30-plus jobs.
