Art Van offers design classes for consumers

WARREN, Mich. — Art Van Furniture will offer free design classes next month for consumers at showrooms in three markets.

The Top 100 company is encouraging consumers "to discover their inner decorating diva" during the 90-minute spring design classes at its stores in Royal Oak, Mich., Orland Park, Ill.; and Toledo, Ohio.

"Our guests look forward to attending these annual design classes because they know our talented team of expert designers have their fingers on the pulse of the season's newest home furnishing styles," Art Van CEO Kim Yost said in a press release.

"Expressing one's self through decorating and design is what makes a house truly a home.

The retailer's design experts will help attendees discover their own style and learn how to decorate with color during the three-class series: Getting Started: The Elements of Design; Design Details: Colors & Finishes; and Room by Room: Design Solutions.

The first classes begin 6:30 p.m. March at 11 at the Toledo store, March 12 in Orland Park and March 13 in Royal Oak.
