Joe Mussallem president of Man Wah USA

High Point - Industry veteran Joe Mussallem has been named to the newly created post of president at motion upholstery major Man Wah USA.
The announcement was made by Steve Barr, the company's CEO and executive director.
"Joe, who will report to me, brings a wealth of experience to our company and we are excited to have him be a part of our team," he said. "We have a lean and relatively young team and Joe will bring structure to our sales efforts."
He said the company's five regional vice presidents will report to Mussallem.
Barr added that the company is close to announcing the appointment of a sixth vice president, who will also report to Mussallem.
"Having all of our vice presidents report to Joe will allow me to spend more time with our retail activities in China and will also free me up to execute a more coordinated effort for the overall sales and marketing of our line companywide," Barr added.
Mussallem spent the bulk of his career with leather upholstery producer Natuzzi. During his more than 20 years there he held a variety of posts including president of Natuzzi Americas.
He has also worked for Palliser Furniture as a sales manager for the southeastern United States, and has been a special accounts manager for North America at leather source Chateau D'Ax.
Immediately prior to joining Man Wah USA, Mussallem was the executive vice president of sales and marketing for leather upholstery source Kuka Furniture.
