Lee Kabat retires from P/Kauffman
Will consult with fabric supplier

NEW YORK — Lee Kabat, who has been a corporate vice president of decorative fabric producer P/Kaufmann since 1979, has retired.Kabat has entered into a consulting agreement with the company that allows him to pursue opportunities both within and outside the home furnishings industry.
At P/Kaufmann, he has had a variety of responsibilities, most recently as the senior executive in charge of Bloomcraft Home Furniture, a unit that produced fabrics for the furniture industry but has been discontinued. Ron Kaufmann, CEO, said P/Kauffman will continue to produce designs for the industry under the various divisions' studios.
In recent years, Kabat initiated a manufactured products division concentrating on the bedding industry, and also was instrumental in establishing a Shanghai office for the logistical support of importing fabrics and manufactured products from China.
