15 companies on tap for CA Boom East

Show to debut at High Point Market

HIGH POINT — An eclectic lineup of exhibitors will take part in the new CA Boom East show, which is offering modern, non-traditional products in its premiere at this month's High Point Market.

This contemporary chair and ottoman are from Venice, Calif.-based Animi, one of the exhibitors at CA Boom East, a new contemporary-themed show at the High Point Market.

The Web site for the California-based CA Boom West, at www.caboomshow.com, lists 15 companies that planned to open showrooms at Mill Village, 1014 Mill Ave., an old hosiery mill renovated and opened last market by upholstery producer Cisco Bros., the host company for CA Boom East.

The companies set to exhibit include Animavi, Bazzeo, Berndt Woods, Bevara Design House, blankblank, Bottega Montana, Carol Hicks Bolton Antiques, Cisco Bros., Davistudio, Groundwork, John Derian Furniture, Ku Ambience, Luisana Designs & AntiquesObleek Objects and P.Casero.

CA Boom East is modeled after a sister show, CA Boom West, which started in the design-savvy community of Santa Monica, Calif. In its fifth year this year, the show had 130 exhibitors and drew 8,500 attendees.

The High Point Market runs Oct. 20-26.
