Larry Thomas -- Furniture Today, October 16, 2008

STANLEYTOWN, Va. — Case goods major Stanley Furniture has named Kevin Walker to the newly created post of vice president of product and sales management for the company's Young America youth furniture line.

Walker will be responsible for developing and managing the Young America product line and opening additional Young America Signature Shops. He also will assist Kevin Bowman, Stanley's vice president of sales, in managing the company's independent sales representatives.

Before joining Stanley, Walker managed North American sales, marketing and product development for juvenile furniture producer Pali.

In his new position, he reports to Glenn Prillaman, executive vice president of marketing and sales.

"Kevin brings an extremely diverse set of experiences and relationships within the infant and children's furniture industry," Prillaman said. "He shares our passion for the industry and our commitment to the independent retailer in delivering superior product and sales performance."
