Bob's Discount Furniture opening 31st store

DEDHAM, Mass. — Bob's Discount Furniture has opened its 31st store here.
The showroom, with 34,000 square feet on two floors, will be an anchor of the Dedham Mall on Providence Highway. The company did not release investment or sales figures.
The promotional to midpriced Top 100 company will promote the grand opening with an appearance by President and Spokesman Bob Kaufman as well as a visit Saturday by several New England Patriot cheerleaders. Bob's has been the official furniture store of the Patriots since last year.
Bob's other television personalities, Cathy Poulin and William Newton, as well as local radio personalities, will also be there for weekend event. The store will have T-shirt and other prize giveaways.
Manchester, Conn.-based Bob's had estimated sales last year $418.1 million at 29 stores in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island.
