WATERLOO, Ontario —
Retailer Crate & Barrel has chosen to use software from Descartes Systems Group to support about 80% of its delivery volume, according to Descartes.
Northbrook, Ill.-based Crate & Barrel is using Descartes' On-Demand Routing and Visibility software, giving real-time access to delivery information. The hosted solution eliminates the need for Crate & Barrel to install software at every site or continually update maps as it expands to new markets.
Most Crate & Barrel deliveries are handled by third-party carriers.
Descartes said the software helps Crate and Barrel capture information and report on its delivery operations. This enables more effective management of the customer experience.
