Four Hands partners with British designer Reeves

AUSTIN, Texas — Case goods importer and manufacturer Four Hands has signed a distribution agreement to sell the furniture of British designer John Reeves in the United States, Mexico and Canada
Four Hands officials said the deal could help the company reach more of the design trade.
The 26-year-old Reeves has developed products for British retailer Heal's and British fabric and wallpaper designer Osborne & Little. Four Hands CEO and founder Brett Hatton met Reeves at this year's International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York and was impressed by the designer's Caprice bed, made from recycled aluminum.
“It was beautiful and like nothing I had seen before,” Hatton said in a statement. “It was like a sculpture sitting on his showroom floor.”
Four Hands will show that bed along with more than 20 other John Reeves Collection pieces at its High Point Market showroom this week.
“John's collections are a fresh take on classic design that create individual works of art and luxury in each piece of furniture,” Hatton said.
“The John Reeves Collection adds a greater high design dimension to the Four Hands product line, broadening our ability to better serve existing customers as well as reach out to new design customers.”
