Michael Day to direct Swavelle fabric development

NEW YORK — Michael Day, vice president and design director of the Textile Fabric Associates division of Swavelle/Mill Creek, has assumed responsibility for indoor and outdoor upholstery fabric development and design at Swavelle.The company's upholstery fabric development department had been based in Easton, Mass., under the direction of Tom Solimine, vice president, who has left the company. The department will now be based here.
In addition, Joseph Kalil will join Swavelle in mid-November as head of marketing and product development for the company's recreational vehicle division. He will be based in Easton, Mass.
Michael Richman, head of marketing for the recreational vehicle division, will retire at the end of the year after 25 years with the company.
