Specialty Sleep Assn. helps consumers find stores
Tool includes more than 18,000 bedding retailers

FRIANT, Calif. — Aiming to drive traffic to its retail members' stores, the Specialty Sleep Assn. is debuting a new bedding store locator for its Web site.SSA officials say the new tool at www.SleepInformation.org is right for the times.
"In this difficult economic period, we are particularly pleased to help mattress/bedding retailers by offering our retail members this new, comprehensive store locator search engine," said Dale Read, SSA president. "We are excited to offer retailers the benefit of the MattressFinder.net platform, which highlights more than 18,000 bedding retailers nationwide."
Read said the new system is "the most in-depth store locator in the U.S." It is an independent store locator that does not directly sell any products, but instead offers consumers local store locations for shopping.
Consumers are directed to a "Find a Store Near You" button, which takes them first to SSA member stores.
SSA, based here, is a national, not-for-profit advocacy and education association of retailers, manufacturers and suppliers serving the specialty sleep industry.
