Mattress Firm plans to buy five stores from franchisee

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Top 100 store Mattress Firm said it plans to buy five of its stores from a franchisee here for an undisclosed sum, the Birmingham Business Journal has reported.

The retailer has signed a letter of intent to buy the stores from Blue Ocean Waters LLC, which began opening the retail locations in this area last year.
