NEW YORK — The New York chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Assn. will honor three up-and-coming designers at its second Rising Stars event Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Jamie Drake, a member of the Interior Design Hall of Fame, will moderate a panel discussion featuring the three: Kristen McGinnis, whose influences include 20th century art and design; Peter Lentz, who mixes simple lines with a variety of textures and color palettes; and Brad Ford, who uses clean lines and furniture with a focus on balance, light, space and color.
They will discuss their inspirations, goals, client relationships and how they market themselves.
The event will take place in the New York Design Center, which is a co-sponsor along with Array Magazine. Cocktails will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the program starts at 6:15 p.m.
The event is open to all design professionals. Tickets are $15 for IFDA members and $25 for guests, and the deadline to RSVP is noon Monday, Nov. 17.
