Feizy Rugs executive Jeanne Carroll slain
Victim of murder-suicide in Dallas

By Lissa WymanDALLAS — Jeanne Carroll, an advertising executive for Feizy Rugs, was murdered at her home here on Tuesday. Carroll, her daughter Janice Hill and Hill's estranged husband, Keith Hill, were discovered shot to death.

Dallas police said Keith Hill killed the two women with a rifle and then turned the gun on himself.
Janice Hill had moved in with her mother and grandmother after she and her husband of less than a year separated this month. The deadly assault took place despite a protective order that had been filed against Keith Hill.

Carroll, 52, was director of advertising and marketing for Feizy Rugs since 1995. She was a Dallas native who worked for years in the advertising business.
At Feizy, she was instrumental in the creation of the company's award-winning catalog and in securing its four-time recognition by the Accessories Resource Team as Area Rug Manufacturer of the Year. She was known for her extensive product knowledge and professional drive.
"Jeanne will be remembered for her fierce love of her family, the pride she took in her work and her infectious laugh," the company said in a statement. "She was an inspirational leader to her Feizy Rugs staff members and colleagues with a vibrant, larger-than-life personality. She will be missed deeply by all."
She is survived by her mother, husband, a daughter, a son, a grandson, one sister and three brothers.
