Bograd has spent 50 years in the industry, operating the high-end retailer begun by his father and uncle, Sam and Dave Bograd. Joe Bograd said the company has succeeded with a formula based on service, designer expertise and respect for the customer.

"Our family and our staff have always been proud to serve second and third generations of customers and those first-time buyers who depend on our advice," he said. "We love to share the genius of great design and craftsmanship from the most traditional to contemporary; we see perfection in it all. I guess that is why we have sustained nearly 80 years in business, against all odds and many challenging changes in the industry."

Joe said his wife, Marcia, and their son, Mark, have been part of the tradition. The store carries lines including Stickley, French Heritage, Henredon, Karges, Century, Baker and more than 100 others.
