Scam artist gets $400 from HOM Furniture

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Police here are investigating a scam that involves a caller posing as a marketing director for HOM Furniture who requested a special payment to a customer, according to a local television report.

The caller to the HOM store claimed the customer received poor service and should receive a $400 moneygram - with what falsely appeared to be the stamp of approval from the Top 100 company's corporate office.
