Mattress Firm promotes Patty Wade to vice president

Will direct bedding retailer's strategic planning

HOUSTON — Retailer Mattress Firm has promoted Patty Wade, who joined the company last year as director of IT services, to vice president of strategic planning.

She will be involved in several areas, including real estate growth, field management strategy and analysis.

"Patty is a seasoned veteran with an extensive background in retail and process management," said Steve Stagner, Mattress Firm president. "Her ability to accurately assess resources and properly allocate them toward achieving the overall strategic objective has and will continue to be an enormous asset for Mattress Firm."
Before joining Mattress Firm in May 2007, Wade had worked for 16 years in retail, information technology and project management for several retailers. She helped consolidate and improve Mattress Firm's internal customer service and developed an IT governance process that allows the IT team to focus on top priority projects and efficiently produce valuable tools.
