AmercasMart to host Carpet Awards Jan. 10

International Rug Market to run Jan. 7-12

ATLANTA — AmericasMart Atlanta will host a gala to present the America's Magnificent Carpets Awards at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel here.

Rugs presented as candidates for the awards will be featured at the AmericasMart exhibit "MOI: The Museum of Introductions" during the International Rug Market. The MOI gallery will be open Jan. 9-11 in Building 1, 4-B-1. The market runs Jan. 7-12.

Judges representing designers, retailers and/or museum curators will choose winning rugs in various categories based on quality of construction, value, design and salability. In addition to the juried awards, a "people's choice" award will be presented based on voting by retailers who cast their ballots at the MOI exhibit.

Architectural Digest Magazine sponsors the America's Magnificent Carpet Awards, which will feature a cocktail hour and a special musical performance. All market attendees are invited.
