RMI offers Datalink to Imagine Retailer clients

Louisville, Ky. — Rug technology solutions provider RM Innovation has agreed to bring its proprietary RM Datalink program to Imagine Retailer’s 700-plus website clients.

RM Datalink says it has some 1.5 million images and 200,000 rug SKUs from more than 25 brands in a standardized format that can be easily converted to most retail websites.

“We’re very excited to team up with David Lively and Flora Stopher to enhance their current website capabilities with our rug catalogs,” said Patrick Bain, chief operations officer for RM Innovation. “We offer capabilities that we believe are unmatched in the rug arena, and thus we see this partnership as a perfect fit for both of our companies.”

In addition to the catalog of images and data, Bain said retailers will receive a “narrow your search” option with more than 25 ways for consumers to find the perfect rug.

Imagine Retailer’s Lively said many of his company’s retailers carry rugs as part of their product mix but didn’t have a way to merge data from their product sources.

“We will be offering this rug solution starting at $49 a month, depending on the catalog(s) and how many SKUs the retailer wishes to subscribe to. RM Innovation catalogs are directly streamed into our retailer websites, and thus are updated automatically,” said Lively. “RM Innovation has a direct link to all of their vendor catalogs so they, too, are updated automatically, translating to discontinued items being deleted — and new introductions being added — in a seamless fashion.”

Lively said that as part of the initiative, Imagine Retailer will offer its Web partners a free 30-day trial without contractual obligations in addition to other incentives.

“As part of the sales and marketing alliance, Imagine Retailer will also be offering advertising and promotional rug platforms for retailers to market their products. We will have print circulars for delivery via shared mail and/ or newspaper distribution, direct mail, matching POS materials and more,” added Stopher, president of Imagine. “With this added marketing element, it will make it so much easier for retailers to advertise their rug offerings, so their consumers can visualize ways to design their perfect room.”
