Mega Group USA convention set for Aug. 13-16
July 16, 2015,
GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — Furniture, electronics and appliance buying group Mega Group USA will host its fall national convention at the downtown Marriott of Louisville, Ky., Aug. 13-16.
The twice-a-year convention brings together vendor partners and independent member retailers from across the U.S. for three days of networking, coaching sessions, product training seminars and the group’s special buying event, Mega Madness.
Created in collaboration with partner, Retailer Web Services, “these marketing tools are designed to efficiently reach local consumers at every level,” Mega said in a release. Level four includes an exclusive digital package, featuring automated turnkey promotions for dealers. Retailers can choose which events to run or set all applicable promotions to run automatically.
“This is a great opportunity for store owners to fine tune their marketing strategies to help preserve and grow market shares as they compete with big box chains,” Mega Group USA President Rick Bellows said of the upcoming convention.
He added that member attendees also will participate in workshops on advertising, merchandising, sales and other topics.
Some training sessions will be led by executives from brands such as Serta, Simmons, Tempur Sealy, Whirlpool, GE and Electrolux, who will discuss market trends, selling techniques and new products. Other breakout sessions will cover finances, marketing, outdoor décor, product protection, and home automation.
Keynote speakers discussing market trends that can lead to success will be Serta President Michael Traub and Mark Chambers, vice president of sales for Electrolux.
Entertainment will be provided by Kentucky country/rock party band Artie Dean Harris and Bourbontown.
