Jean-Michel Valette becomes Select Comfort chairman
Has been board member for 15 years

MINNEAPOLIS — Bedding manufacturer and retailer Select Comfort has appointed Jean-Michel Valette chairman of its board of directors.
Valette, who has been a board member for more than 15 years, is replacing Ervin Shames, who will remain a board member.

Valette also is chairman of Peet's Coffee and Tea Inc. and is on the board of Boston Beer Co. Earlier, he was chairman of Robert Mondavi Winery, and also was the company's president and managing director.
