Lorts, Pepper Berry adopt EarthCare Inside

Lorts Mfg. and Pepper Berry are the latest companies to introduce products using the eco-friendly EarthCare Inside program from components supplier Hickory Springs.
Both are incorporating environmentally friendly components throughout their furniture lines. The companies rolled out EarthCare Inside products at the recent High Point Market.
The EarthCare Inside program was developed by Hickory Springs to offer furniture manufacturers environmentally friendly components including seat cushions made from its soy-based Preserve foam, springs forged from recycled steel, webbing woven with 100% recycled Repreve yarn, and back cushion fibers fashioned from recycled content.
“We are pleased with the expansion of the EarthCare Inside program as companies embrace sustainable products in the manufacturing process,” said Dwayne Welch, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Hickory Springs. “It is the right thing to do for the long-term health of the industry and the environment.”
