David Merkley joins Brick Group as CFO
Had been with Sears Canada more than 30 years

EDMONTON, Alberta — The Brick Group Income Fund has named former Sears Canada executive David Merkley as chief financial officer.
He succeeds Ronald Mitchell, who was named interim CFO in December and will stay with the retailer until June 30 to assist in the transition.
Merkley spent 30 years at Sears Canada, most recently as senior vice president and CFO. At the Brick Group, he reports to President and CEO Bill Gregson.
Gregson said Merkley "is a great addition to The Brick team. We have made real progress during the past year, and David will play a key role in continuing that momentum."
