Mega Group USA sets conference for Aug. 22-26

GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — Buying group Mega Group USA will hold its 27th annual Fall Convention in Louisville, Ky., Aug. 22-26 at the downtown Marriott.
Paula Deen, Food Network celebrity cook, author and entrepreneur - who recently partnered with Mega and Serta for the Paula Deen Home by Serta mattress collection exclusive to Mega Group USA members - will host a reception Aug. 24 at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can meet Deen and learn more about the inspiration behind the product and what has made it successful.
Bob Negen, founder of Mackinaw Kite Co., will be the keynote speaker with a presentation Aug. 25 at 8:45 a.m. According to Mega, Negen is known for his "make it fun, get it done" philosophy. He founded Mackinaw Kite in 1981 and grew the company from $17,000 to more than $3 million in annual sales in 20 years.
Mega Group USA President Rick Bellows said Louisville is centrally located for most of its members "and has so much to offer."
In addition to the appearances by Dean and Negen, the conference also will feature product displays, breakout meetings, coaching sessions and a buying show. Hundreds of dealers in all home furnishings categories are expected to attend.
