High Point Market names marketing VP
Cheminne Taylor-Smith to fill post Aug. 2

HIGH POINT — Industry veteran Cheminne Taylor-Smith has been named vice president of marketing for the High Point Market Authority, effective Aug. 2.
She replaces Kimberley Wray, who left the Market Authority last month for personal and family reasons.
Taylor-Smith has spent nearly 20 years in the industry in trade media, public relations and marketing. She most recently was the public relations director of shelter publication Elle Décor. She also has worked for Lexington Home Brands, InFurniture magazine, Home Accents Today and Furniture/Today.
At the Market Authority, Taylor-Smith will provide strategic direction for domestic and international marketing and will oversee public relations and communications for the High Point Market.
Brian Casey, president and CEO of the Market Authority, said Taylor-Smith "brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the home furnishings industry and very strong skills in communications, marketing, public relations and business management. I know she'll be able to contribute immediately to the continuing success of the High Point Market."
