According to the report, furniture sales were $7.54 billion for the month, a decrease from $7.63 billion in May, but up from $7.42 billion in sales for the same period a year ago.
Overall adjusted U.S. retail and food services sales in June decreased to $360.2 billion from $362.0 billion in May. The decline was worse than many analysts were projecting, according to news reports. Click here to read an Associated Press story.
