HIGH POINT — Industry veteran Roland Maddrey has joined Pulaski Furniture as vice president of sales for the eastern territory, managing the case goods and occasional furniture source's accounts east of the Mississippi.
Maddrey has held sales and marketing positions in the industry for 25 years, and most recently was in sales at Universal Furniture. Earlier, he was with La-Z-Boy, Hickory Mark and Broyhill.
At Pulaski, he replaces Dennis Ammons, who left the company in May for personal reasons. Maddrey will report to company President Page Wilson and will complement Dallas George, vice president of sales for the western states.
"We are delighted to have a person of Maddrey's sales management skills on our team. He has strong relationships with our dealer base and personal values consistent with our lean results-driven culture," said Wilson.
Pulaski is a division of Home Meridian International, which also is the parent company of Samuel Lawrence Furniture, Samuel Lawrence Hospitality, Creations baby furniture and upholstery source Prime Resources International. The High Point-based company has distribution centers on both coasts and offices in Dongguan, China, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
"I am thrilled to be joining a company that is positioned for significant growth," Maddrey said. "HMI's global network of resources, financial stability, advanced information technology and ability to rapidly adapt to changing market conditions distinguish it from the vast majority of suppliers."
