Park Place to distribute Comfort Solutions mattresses

Will cover eight states in Southeast

WILLOWBROOK, Ill. — Top 10 bedding producer Comfort Solutions said it has signed longtime bedding independent Park Place Corp. to make and market Comfort Solutions products in eight states.

"We're extremely pleased to welcome Park Place, a business begun in 1931 and representing three generations of the Orders family, to the Comfort Solutions group," said Dave Roberts, president of Comfort Solutions.

"Both Comfort Solutions and Park Place share many of the same business philosophies, including an emphasis on product quality and customer service, and a commitment to delivering value to the consumer. Our parallel performance objectives will greatly benefit both companies," Roberts said.

Park Place operates mattress plants at its Greenville, S.C. headquarters and in Denver, Pa. The company initially will produce Comfort Solutions products for Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. After Nov. 1, Park Place also will assume responsibility for the states of North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.

Comfort Solutions did not say how the new arrangement with Park Place would affect its existing licensing relationships, but the Park Place announcement comes as the longtime Comfort Solutions licensee in Norfolk, Va., Paramount, has been positioning itself for a future as a bedding independent.

Comfort Solutions said it made the new licensing agreement with Park Place "as part of its strategy to continue improving its distribution, infrastructure and performance in an evolving industry."

Roberts said Comfort Solutions is positioning itself for accelerated growth in the next several years.

Comfort Solutions has 10 domestic licensees.
