MCCONNELLSVILLE, N.Y. — Domestic case goods manufacturer Harden Furniture has announced it will launch a new domestic bedroom company called Cambridge Mills at the High Point Market in October.
Industry veterans John and Michael Scarsella will lead the sales, marketing, and product development for the company and Harden will provide manufacturing, customer service, and delivery.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to be working with Greg Harden and his team at Harden Furniture. Their reputation in our industry is unmatched and will serve as the foundation for Cambridge Mills," John Scarsella said in a press release.
The company will focus on solid wood bedroom and target the middle to upper-middle price point segments of the market.
All products will be made in the United States. The company plans to introduce three solid cherry bedroom collections in October and more product at the winter Las Vegas Market.
Harden Furniture CEO Greg Harden said in a press release that the company will offer retailers proven designs and brand qualities consumers want.
"Made in America, sustainable manufacturing and dependable quality are proven winners that promise to establish Cambridge Mills as a category leader," Harden said.
John Scarsella previously held executive positions at Jamestown Sterling and Durham Furniture and oversaw its launch of the Mount Vernon license.
Most recently, Michael Scarsella, John's son, was president of domestic solid wood supplier, Virginia Sterling, which ceased operations earlier this year, citing unfavorable economic conditions.
