Anatomic Global offers new line at Las Vegas Market
Sleep By Design uses science to select memory foam beds

AT THE MARKET — Anatomic Global aims to make shopping for memory foam beds easier with the new Sleep By Design product line it is introducing here.
The Corona, Calif.-based memory foam bedding producer said it combines its engineering and retail expertise in the new line, which aims to bring more science to the mattress shopping experience.
Anatomic Global, which shows in World Market Center C-1584, said the line represents its first application of its new patent-pending Comfort Support Architecture, which takes the subjectivity and guesswork out of the memory foam shopping process by using an identification system based on the laws of physics.
The new products use progressive layering of proprietary memory foams to create mattresses that will appeal to a broader range of consumers, while also addressing many of their comfort and support concerns, officials said.
The mattresses feature from three to seven progressive foam layers with up to 6.5 inches of memory foam and lumbar support constructions incorporated into the bed, depending on the comfort and support preferences of the consumer, the company said.
"The consumer is asking us to modify memory foam mattresses to provide different levels of comfort and support and to help them find the one that fits them best," said David Farley, CEO. "We're using our Comfort Support Architecture to systematically build mattresses that will give the consumer the comfort and support they have been looking for. We believe the consumer doesn't want a one-size-fits-all product, but rather something better matched to their individual preferences that can be identified during the selling process."
The company has tested the new concept with several of its key dealers, getting a "very encouraging" response, Farley said. "We believe we are going to raise the industry bar with this new concept," he said.
The mattresses retail from $799 to $2,999.
The Avail Series beds are designed for consumers who like to lie more on the mattress than in it, based on a simple comparative assessment of their memory foam surface preferences. The Ascent Series is designed for consumers who prefer being immersed more deeply into the memory foam surface and also want enhanced support. The Altus Series is designed for consumers who like a fluid-feeling memory foam but also require lower back support, the company said.
The new design architecture allows the company to "build by design" and will also help the company's retailers "merchandise by design," Farley said. And, he continued, it will help consumers "sleep by design" as well.
The specialty sleep producer said the new design concept is another innovation it has brought to the memory foam marketplace.
