Former House speaker Newt Gingrich visits Ashley headquarters

Possible presidential candidate applauds manufacturer's wellness center

ARCADIA, Wis. — Former U.S. House speaker and possible 2012 presidential candidate Newt Gingrich toured the Ashley Furniture headquarters here this week and praised the Ashley Wellness Center, the Winona Daily News reported.

Gingrich, who founded a health care consulting group, said the center was an innovative way to provide affordable health care for employees while also reducing company costs, the newspaper said. He called it a "fascinating example of a pilot project in the right direction."

He also told the paper he would decide in February or March whether to run for president.
