HFIA has new light resource

DALLAS - The Home Furnishings Independents Assn. has named Service Lamp Corp. as its exclusive national lighting supplies resource, with a new program offering the industry group's members national pricing on light bulbs, ballasts and fixtures.
     Service Lamp is one of the largest Philips lighting distributors and offers a full line of products.
     "We can quickly bring new Philips technology to furniture retailers without waiting behind other retail segments," said Marc Kushner, Service Lamp president. Service Lamp introduced the new Philips LED line at the High Point Market last fall and received an excellent response from furniture retailers, he said.
     HFIA Board Chairman Steve Kidder of Vermont Furniture Galleries, Williston, Vt., said a program that saves money on lighting will prove valuable for HFIA members.
